Snow Day

After the snow whailed down

Apon the icy ground

Huge mounds of snow are scattered

All the way 'cross town

And children are a running

From house to snowy house

Screaming for their friends

To get a move on

On their way out the door

As their friends build forts

And have a snow ball war

As the smell of hot chocolate

Wafts lazily through the air

And as the warm fires crackle

In every snowy house

Awaiting to warm the toes

In the snowy childrens boots

As they retreat back home

As the sun begins to sink

Over the snowy horizon

Until it's back again
