Meadow
With the spring breeze drifted lazily through the air as the children played in the meadow. Aglow and warm, the sun cast its embrace around the land. Some children played with the small puppy as it danced around their small little feet, yipping happily as the children giggled in delight. The pup's shrill calls of happiness wafted in from afar. A rabbit was snoozing at the end of the meadow, enjoying the sun's warm beams on the earth. The pup ran off with the cries of the children behind it, cheering as it chased the startled rabbit around the meadow. A girl in the group laughed in delight at the sight of her new pup. As the rabbit turned, the pup leaped upon it. They lay grappling each other on the old worn path. A tinkling chime rang out throughout the small meadow as the pup turned to the sound. Cries of alarm rang out. Under the weight of the truck's heavy tire, the pup lay dead.
